California Celtic harper, Patricia Rushton, began playing music in early childhood, learning harmony from her mother. She studied harp in Santa Barbara with Barbara Hilaire and, for five years, played with the James Joyce Irish session group.
Patricia has appeared on several recordings for various musicians and in performances as a backup singer and multi-instrumentalist.
In concert, Patricia brings a mythological approach to the music with historical references, poetry and story. The introductions to each piece of music are fascinating and add to our listening enjoyment.
